This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’ve used a white board, binders, & chairs in my classroom for years. It helps to enhance my student tutorials by providing a clear visual & a place for students to work together to help solve problems. However, my whiteboard & chairs have been out of commission and students are sharing hand held dry erase boards. This can serve as a challenge for visually impaired students who have difficulty seeing smaller screens. Also, the tutorial process is a major component of the AVID program & it is important that students stay organized with their binders as well.

With a white board, binders, & chairs I can implement guided practice lessons on a larger platform, rather than mirroring on the small dry erase boards.

My students would be able to share their questions with the whole class and not just a few individuals with the small dry erase boards.. The size of the white board is more visible for students with visual impairments. Yet, this is an important tool for learning for every student.
