What I Love About My Students
My students are curious, creative, and full of potential.
Every day, they come to class eager to explore new ideas and grow as readers and thinkers. What I admire most is their resilience and willingness to try—even when reading feels tough. They cheer each other on and light up when they connect with a story or find a book that speaks to them.
How These Resources Will Help
To foster their love of reading, I want to build a vibrant classroom library that reflects diverse voices and invites every student to see themselves in a book.
Poetry Books will help my students experience the beauty of language and self-expression. Poetry encourages creativity, builds vocabulary, and helps even hesitant readers find joy in shorter, powerful texts.
Essential Read-Alouds will give us shared reading experiences that spark discussions, teach empathy, and build community. Read-alouds are a powerful way to model fluency and critical thinking.
Reading Log Bookmarks will support students in developing consistent reading habits. These simple tools help them track their progress and set personal reading goals, building both independence and pride.
