My Project
History is not just about memorizing dates and events; it’s about understanding the stories of people, cultures, and the world around us. As a 6th-grade teacher, I aim to inspire my students to connect with the past and see the relevance of history in their lives today. But in order for my students to develop this connection, they need access to high-quality, engaging books that offer different perspectives and bring history to life.
Currently, my classroom lacks enough diverse and updated resources for students to explore history beyond what is provided in their textbooks.
Many of the materials we have are outdated, and the limited selection makes it difficult for students to explore their own areas of interest. With your support, I’d love to provide my students with a collection of new history books that will encourage their love of reading and deepen their understanding of the world.
