it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a wonderful group of second graders who come to school each day full of curiosity, energy, and a desire to learn. Many of my students are working hard to build foundational reading skills, and I love how determined and resilient they are—especially when something finally “clicks.” That spark in their eyes when they realize they can read a whole book on their own is something truly special.
My students benefit most from materials that are clear, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.
The Guided Phonics + Beyond® Units 2–6 Decodable Books are exactly that. These books are designed to align with phonics instruction and give students meaningful practice as they apply what they’ve learned. Because the stories use controlled text based on the skills we're targeting, even struggling readers can experience success and build confidence.
This bundle will give my students a wide range of decodable books to read independently or in small groups. These are more than just books—they are stepping stones to lifelong literacy. With repeated practice and the right support, my students will grow into confident, fluent readers who love reading. Your support will help make that growth possible and ensure every child in my classroom has access to the tools they need to thrive.
