Help me give my students the ability to listen to audiobooks. These headphones would really help my students! When learning how to read, I have found that my students, being ELLs, really benefit from listening to books.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
When my students walk in the room in the morning, their smiling faces let me know they are ready and excited to learn! In my classroom, I have a diverse group of learners. About half of my students are students with special needs. Most of these children with special needs are also English Language Learners. Being the special education teacher in the room, I know that there are so many ways technology can help them. Unfortunately, most of these children do not have access to technology because they come from low-income homes. Most, if not all, of the students in my school receive free lunch.
My Project
My students are very enthusiastic about learning! They love coming to school! Being that most of my students are English Language Learners and most of them have special needs, reading can be difficult for them. I have found that the use of audio books helps them to better understand how to decode words by showing them how they are supposed to sound.
First Graders need to be read to!
It not only helps them with decoding, but with comprehension as well. Headphones are vital to allowing students to listen to audio books. Most of my students are unable to provide their own headphones because they cannot afford them. This class set of headphones would ensure that my students can listen to audio books on their level to help them further their career as readers.
