Help me give my students reeds and tuners to help them be successful in middle school band.

My Project
In the band classroom, there is a wide variety of socioeconomic statuses. Many of my students cannot afford the reeds that are needed to play the woodwind instruments in the band such as the clarinet or alto saxophone. If a student damages his or her reed and does not have the money to replace the reed, the student could lose out on an opportunity to play. I usually have backups to make sure that the students are always playing, but it could be hard this year with increased numbers.
Sixth grade is moving back to the middle school, so our numbers will increase a lot.
Larger amounts of students create more needs. Additional reeds will allow the students to always have an extra in the event that their reed breaks. Accidents happen and it is a relief to know that there is always a reed there just in case.
Tuners would also make a huge difference in my classroom this year. I plan to make stations for students to independently tune before class. Tuning takes up a lot of time during rehearsal, and having these tuning stations as the students come in can alleviate the loss of time doing it during class. This also fosters a sense of independence and responsibility since the students are having to tune themselves as they have seen modeled by the teacher.
