This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagine trying to focus on reading or solving math problems with constant noise around you—hallway traffic, chairs scraping, classroom conversations. For many of our students, especially those with sensory sensitivities or attention challenges, this is their daily reality. Noise-cancelling headphones would be a game-changer.

By reducing auditory distractions, students will have more control over their learning and emotional well-being.

These headphones will help students focus more easily during independent work, regulate their emotions and reduce sensory overload, and feel safe and calm in a busy classroom environment.

Our school is filled with curious, thoughtful, and energetic learners who come from a wide range of backgrounds. Many of our students face challenges that go beyond the classroom, from sensory processing difficulties to a need for focused, quiet workspaces. We serve a diverse group, including students with IEPs and those learning English as a second language. Despite these challenges, they show up every day eager to learn, grow, and support one another.
