My Project

We are a rural school and low income. Many children come to school hungry. Often they will eat breakfast in the cafeteria, but by the time we get to recess, they are very hungry and struggle to focus.

Kindergarten is a crucial grade for laying the foundation for reading and writing.

Students who cannot focus miss letter sounds, letter formation, and recognition. These practices are so important for early learners and I have a wonderful group of eager students who can't wait to read!
