My Project

“Tummies Full, Minds Ready” is a nutrition-based initiative focused on providing healthy, reliable snacks to elementary students who may come to school hungry or need a pick-me-up during the day. The goal is simple: when students have access to nourishing snacks, they are better able to focus, participate, and thrive in the classroom. Hunger shouldn’t stand in the way of learning. Unfortunately, many young students arrive to my classroom without having eaten breakfast or may go hours without a nutritious bite between meals. This impacts energy levels, attention spans, emotional regulation, and academic performance.

This project ensures that every child has access to simple, healthy snacks—like granola bars, fruit cups, crackers, or applesauce—to help them stay energized and engaged throughout the school day.
