My Students
At our school, we firmly believe that all children have the capacity to learn. Through this belief, we, as teachers, constantly find creative and new learning approaches to help our students be successful.
This year, I am working with twenty amazing four-year-old preschool students attending our full-day preschool program.
Although there are many differences in language, culture, and learning needs, my students all have more in common than not. They love to learn, find joy in playing, and have families who want to provide the best education for their children.
The love of school and learning should last well beyond preschool. Providing fun, caring, adventurous, exciting, and hands-on experiences in these critical early years will set them off on the right foot to success and continued enjoyment in learning for years to come!
The past year has been fantastic! My students have been so excited to receive items that we have had funded through DonorsChoose to use remotely at home. I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces as they explore new materials that help enhance our learning program. We are always grateful when a project gets funded!
My Project
We have been working hard this year to learn alphabet and number skills as well as practicing our pre-writing skills.
We have a tuff tray and would like to add these amazing, high quality inserts to give our students another way of exploring pre-writing skills, alphabet and number activities.
These inserts and felt wool balls will give our students more exposure to the alphabet, numbers, and pre-writing shapes and lines and an opportunity to create them with small manipulatives including the felt wool balls, beans, marbles, rice, etc.
These will help our students get ready for kindergarten!
