Hooray! Many donors bought us new books for the new school year. But oops, we need some tubs to organize them. We also needed some number cards for math activities, such as compare, double compare games and so on.
I have a whole class full of adorable first graders who love books and love learning.
Our school is a Title I school in Oregon. Many students come from low income families. School means a great deal to them. It's their window to the world and an opportunity to change their future.
My Project
The tubs match the ones we have in our classroom library. Some shelves are still empty and we are to receive about 150 new award-winning books from donorschoose.com. More tubs are needed to organize these books. During math activities, we are low in number cards. The old passed-down card sets are torn and incomplete, because they've been used over ten years. I might need more cards, but I wanted to order a few to try out, because I can't find the matching ones anymore.
We absolutely need them.
It would help my students greatly. The tubs are perfect for K-2 classrooms, because they're not too big, so six year-old students can lift them off the shelf if needed. The math cards are needed very frequently as well. So please help us and your help is deeply appreciated.
