My students need basic school supplies such as construction paper, paint, and chart paper to start next school year off with a bang.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Cromer's classroom raised $653

My Students
I moved to PreK during 2009 Christmas holidays from 5th grade math where I had been for 4 1/2 years. I have tons of 5th grade stuff but no PreK stuff. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
My students come from homes that do not have art supplies and other everyday items readily available.
They love to learn and are excited when they get to use different things. They are little sponges just waiting to soak up all the knowledge that they can. Some have never actually seen construction paper while others have no idea what letters and numbers are.
My Project
We will use the dry erase boards to conserve paper and practice the ABC's and numbers. We will use the paint, sand and construction paper to create beautiful artwork. We will use all the materials to better the students by exposing them to a world of knowledge.
Education in Georgia is being drastically cut.
There is no money for extra or everyday supplies. As a teacher, I buy lots of stuff myself but there comes a point when you just can't keep on buying, especially after 6 furlough days and a possible cut in pay for next school term. Without some of these items, some children will not be given the opportunity to learn that they so desparately deserve.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
