My students need materials to make about two hundred 4 page programs and 40 posters for a play about a Midwest radio station set in the 1930's.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. P.'s classroom raised $210
This project is fully funded
I am a high school Drama teacher. We are a small school of 600 students located near a medium sized city.
Due to circumstances beyond the students' control, there are no funds available for this year's drama production. However, we have an unusual opportunity to produce an original play by a Kansas playwright. It is about a Midwest radio station and the ongoing story is about a young female pilot's adventures.
This play will be adjudicated by International Thespian judges for possible performance at State and National conferences. These possible benefits for the students are immeasurable for the development of the students' dramatic experiences and will engender a lifelong appreciation of perfection learning. Students must "score" more than 85% to create and present a successful play.
The students will create a program and posters, table tents, fliers and other publicity items. They need the paper, poster board, markers and lots of creativity to give this play the publicity it deserves.
Research studies have shown that participation in theater classes and activities helps students acquire many (23) life skills such as creative problem-solving, willingness to work cooperatively, time-budgeting skills, respect for colleagues, and ability to work under pressure.
Your help will enable my students to fully develop their talents, to accept responsibility, to learn how to publicize any event or occasion they encounter in the future.
