My students need sports equipments for our after school enrichment programs. Some of our tents were damaged because of the hurricane and we are in need for some sort of protection from the sun.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are in need of equipment for our after school athletic enrichment clubs. We are one of the only elementary schools in our area that provides opportunities for students to be a part of a team sports program, particularly for an affordable price.

We have an active population of students and we want to be able to provide them with the materials necessary to not only enjoy themselves, but learn about teamwork.

Our students are eager to play a variety of sports, but in order to do so, we must have the appropriate equipment to offer.

My Project

The sporting equipment will enable our students to play after-school sports in a safe, environment. We created our after-school sports program in order to afford students the responsibility to be a part of a variety of team sports. Our prices are affordable and allow convenience for parents since students can go directly to the sport after school and have to be dropped off somewhere separate.

Our students will have the opportunity to use brand new equipment that they would otherwise not have available to them.

They will continue to learn the value of teamwork and be able to interact with students in different classes. The tents will encourage family members to come to outdoor events and have a place for other students to sit when they watch them play.

After the hurricane, our whole area was left covered in debris from all the damage. Many students could not play outside due to it taking up to 6 weeks for everything to be cleaned up. Teachers at our school spent time cleaning up the campus so that students would be able to play at school even if they were unable to at home. Our school is a part of the community and we want to provide our students with as much as possible.
