Trip of a Lifetime!

My students need to go to Philadelphia with the rest of the 4th grade.

My Students

Tupac Shakur once said, " You see, you wouldn't ask why the rose that grew from the concrete had damaged petals."

This quote is ideal for my students who face unimaginable challenges everyday.

My students who face poverty, homelessness, and strife continue to come to school despite the world constantly telling them they are not enough.

Where in my ICT classroom my students experience academic deficits, emotional disturbances, and intellectual disabilities, I hope to empower them to be confident in who they are and who they want to be.

My Project

We have some students who have never even left the state. This trip would enrich them because they would be able to experience what the world has to offer outside of New York State. So beyond academics this would enrich their lives.

Our students have learned about the American Revolution so this would be thrilling for their academic knowledge as well.

They would be able to see different aspects of the American Revolution come to life before their very eyes. This is the most unique way we can enrich their learning.

Despite the cost, when we told them about the trip their faces lit up. We hope to make this into a reality.
