This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are inquisitive, bright, and enthusiastic learners. They are interested in learning and staying engaged during our online and in person lessons. Despite the fact that they've been learning remotely due to the pandemic, they are eager to learn. On August 16 students will return to campus.
Unfortunately many families are experiencing unemployment, evictions, COVID-19, and loss of loved ones.
Many students of our community live in small apartments or homes where they live with several families due to the high cost of living. Some families can't afford to buy basic school supplies for their children.
My Project
Getting tricycles and age-appropriate toys for our Preschools and Kindergarteners will give access to our 3-5 year olds to exercise and to engaging creative playtime.
Our limited amount of toys are worn out, faded and need to be urgently replaced.
I can't wait to see our students' smiles as they ride the tricycles. It will be so awesome to listen in as they use their imagination to play. I know that our students' wellbeing and learning will be greatly improved through these items. Let's make this happen and let the fun begin.
