My students need 1 Tree of Life Rug and 1 copy each of the following books: A Tree Is Nice, Who Lives in a Tree?, The Tree, and Lost in the Woods.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Green's classroom raised $361
This project is fully funded
I am a kindergarten teacher at Walker-Gamble Elementary in New Zion, South Carolina. I have 22 very eager and inquisitive students in my class.
This year we would like to have a special Earth Day Celebration with an extra special focus on trees. We have already studied many forest animals including opossums, white-tailed deer, squirrels, and hedgehogs. Now, we would like to study one of our most precious resources-trees. We like to call them the Trees of Life.
We would begin our extra special day by sitting on our Tree of Life Rug. The Tree of Life Rug features vivid pictures of many different forest animals, including our favorite one - the possum! The rug is a great lesson starter because the different animals present wonderful opportunities for teaching topics. Next, we would use the different tree books to learn more interesting facts about the forest and conserving our natural resources. These include one copy each of the following books: A Tree Is Nice, Who Lives in a Tree?, The Tree, and Lost in the Woods. The books would also be placed in our book center where students could explore them independently.
We are looking forward to a great Earth Day. Please help make our wishes come true. We can't wait to hear the good news that our project has been funded. Thanks for you consideration.
