My Project

It is winter! I love to teach kids to create, express, communicate, speak with kindness, stand up for what is right, love learning, and make the world better. I can best teach this way if my students are safe and healthy. Treats and treasures provide the necessary encouragements for students to express their imagination and creativity. Treats gives voice to the voiceless, creates kindness and beauty. At this point in the year, we need MORE art supplies to refresh student access.

My students come from predominately low socio-economic communities, and many do not speak English as their first language, but art is its own language!

All students eat free breakfast and lunch, and school must be a safe and clean place. This project helps give my students access to art materials in a way that allows them to socially distance and engage with the world around them safely.

As we head into the second semester students need more supplies to keep them engaged. The treats, stickers, candy, and other items will allow students to engage fully in the academic process and meet their goals and targets. The chairs and outlets and other items allow students to sit comfortably while having access to electricity around the classroom!
