Treats and Treasures for Phonics Fun!

Help me give my students hands-on materials to support their phonics learning, as well as “treats and treasures” to encourage them along the way!

My Project

My students come from all over the world and eagerly learn the English language. They often do require more support and a more hands-on approach. These materials will support them in their phonics acquisition, and allow for rewards and treats along the way!

Students needs to see their mouth when forming sounds to ensure they are making them correctly; the pocket mirrors will allow for them to do just that.

Students can also use the tiles to manipulate sounds heard in words, and stretch words out into their individual sounds. By having a magnetic paper on the board that matches the paper my students are using, they will be able to better replicate letters and create legible writing.

My students love to learn, but every child loves a chance to earn a treasure box prize! The jellybeans and assorted toys will be used as extrinsic motivators throughout the year to keep them encouraged!
