My Project
My students jump out of their seats for a good book! They love our read aloud time, but my big push is for students to be reading on their own. They need more choices to pick from and really find the genre they love. I firmly believe everyone is a reader when they find the right book, and these students deserve to have those choices. I incorporate novel studies into our guided reading time and my students are always asking for more time to read when they start their new novel. I utilize composition notebooks for their novel studies, to push with their reading comprehension and their writing skills. Student writing is often showcased on our bulletin board, in which I have my students help me create. My students needs more materials to help our bulletin board be more colorful and creative.
