This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 25 enthusiastic students this school year. They are an inquisitive group of 7- and 8-year-olds with varied interests from technology to animals. They are always eager to learn new things. Our school is the heart of their neighborhood.
Some of my students come from challenging home environments.
When they come to school, I want them to have the freedom to be kids and learn new things that will benefit their future. From their experience at an early age, many of the students have learned how to be responsible problem solvers. They deserve to have an excellent education in the best environment possible.
My Project
Students love to earn their way to big prizes! The class treasure box is always popular in a classroom. It can be used as an end of the week reward or a way to boost class participation/engagement.
The hard part about bringing in a treasure box for your classroom is filling it with trendy trinkets.

The kitchen organizers are used for an old trick that keeps your class set of laptops and chargers from becoming a tangled mess.
