This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My second graders are a fun bunch! I have two classes, one with 27 and another with 28. My students are like any other kid that's 7 or 8, full of energy, missing teeth, learning to be good friends, and very bright. What's special about my group of kids is that they're developing an awesome skill and super power, that's right, they're learning two languages, English and Spanish!

These super kiddos have been learning Spanish since kindergarten!

It's so fun to see them speak, interact, and learn in a different language. These kids will be the next heroes to come.

My Project

These trays will help make it much easier for my students to keep their materials organized. They are easy to handle and easy to access anything fast. We don't have desks, we use tables, so these trays would make it easy for them to get to their materials faster.

A cluttered desk is a cluttered mind, these trays are their desks; let's make them neat and organized.

They'll also be reusable for more years to come! These trays are much sturdier than our cardboard book boxes, so we don't have to tape or re-tape them. It'll be easier to get materials, where now we have falling boxes spilling everything inside.
