Help me give my students the opportunity to represent their community and school on the national level.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. King's classroom raised $1,469
This project is fully funded
My Students
We are a Title I school located in Lovejoy, Georgia. Our girl's basketball team won the state championship last season with a record of 32-1. We have been invited to Thanksgiving Hoop Fest. It is an invite-only tournament which features some of the top teams in the nation. We are in need of funding to pay for our plane tickets to this event. The event is a great opportunity for our players and school to gain exposure on a national level.
My Project
This is project 2 of our fundraiser to raise funds for our airfare to Dallas, Texas. The total airfare is $4,806.90 and we are only allowed to raise $1,469.00 a project.
We won the Georgia class 6A girls basketball state championship last season with a record of 32 wins and 1 lost.
We have two highly recruited players that have college offers from Georgia, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Purdue, St. Johns, Jacksonville, Mississippi, Kennesaw State, Houston, LSU, Texas Tech, Florida Atlantic, Kentucky, North Carolina State, Florida, Virginia Tech and Louisville. Our school is a title one school and it is over 90% minority. The funds for this project will go towards our airline tickets to Dallas, Texas for the Thanksgiving Hoop Fest in Duncanville, Texas. The tournament covers the cost for lodging and meals; our only expense will be the airline tickets. The tournament is invite only, which will give our community, student-athletes, and school great exposure on a national level.
