My Project

We have a unit on "Our Earth" that we do each in 4K. It is an entire month long each Spring. During this unit, we learn about the plants and animals that survive on our wonderful planet Earth. We also learn how everything is connected and depends on each other. We also learn how people affect our Earth in both good and not-so-good ways.

Giving my littles experiences through play and manipulating things such as Magnetic Color Maze Sorting Games and a Big Plastic Garbage Truck Toy helps them gain real understanding.

Seeing photographs and hearing information is ok, but hands-on learning is best. Four and five-year-olds are fascinated by big vehicles such as garbage trucks. Having the awesome resources I have listed would really bring the concept of recycling to life for my little friends. It would also help them gain an understanding of people who choose to work in cleaning up and out the trash.
