My Project
At Overland High School we have students from all over the world. 80 Countries, 40 plus languages. Most are new to the United States and know very little English. By having translating devices, Teachers, Admin, Deans and Counselors (the department of which I am in charge) can better work with and serve our International Population.
Students will greatly benefit from our enhanced ability to communicate.
This project will increase student learning outcomes, graduation and ultimately English comprehension. While we have many staff in our building who speak languages such as Spanish and Arabic, no adult/staff speak many of the languages such as Dari. This translator will greatly enhance our abilities in this area.
