Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, I have been asked to continue working with my current first graders as they transition to second grade. While our current classroom setup is effective, the furniture is not appropriately sized to accommodate most second graders comfortably. Additionally, our district has made the decision to eliminate our large classroom rugs. To ensure that my students can participate fully in whole-group instruction and have a successful year, I am seeking support with classroom furniture, materials, carpet mats, a vacuum cleaner, snacks, and cleaning supplies. These items will provide my students with adequate seating and space. The small carpets will still allow for a whole-group seating arrangement on the floor. As an educator, I am committed to maintaining a clean and sanitary classroom environment that is free of pests. Students will be provided with a selection of math tools to engage in learning stations. They will enjoy an afternoon snack, and I will have the opportunity to set up my bulletin boards.My goal is to create an environment with effective seating arrangements and ample space that foster full student engagement and meaningful interaction.
