My Project
Year 17 means a complete transition...new subject, new grade level and new classroom.
Help is requested in building my new ELA classroom into a place where students want to go to in order to thrive.
The headphones to enable me to create an easily recognizable class set for read aloud when it comes to novels, and tests. Most students only own bluetooth head phones and for both school policy, and testing policy they must use wired.
The seating and vacuum are to give my room a clean but unique atmosphere. The bench and cushions can help add storage in my room with students' backpacks going into the cubbies or on them at the end of the year, and novel sets, or even the new headphones during the year.
Finally, while the lighting in my room is fine, harsh fluorescent lights reflecting off grey concrete are not the most inspiring of atmospheres. It is my hope to span the two light strips across the front of my room. The colors and brightness can add to lessons by letting students know how much time is left/when to stop (think RED LIGHT/GREEN LIGHT), but also just as colored lights behind TVs can help keep our focus; hopefully, they will aid in my classroom management.
Thank you for donating what you can. All donations are greatly appreciated.
