Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students have learning disabilities and have created a business selling handmade crafts. Students are proud of their business and participate in all aspects to include the following; catalog design, inventory, pricing items, and counting money. They recently began making reusable napkins and paper towels.
Students will use the serger, thread, and scissors to create beautiful reusable napkins and paper towels that will help eliminate trash going to landfills.
The students learn to work as part of a team, and learn how to run a small business while helping to save the planet along the way.
