Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Everyday is a new adventure awaiting my 40 preschool students. Their joy of learning is evident as they walk inside, eager to share connections learned between their school/real world experiences. As one of the most diverse schools in the country my classroom is a true global community. I am fortunate to serve scholars comprised of over 12 languages/cultures, of native, refugee, and immigrant statuses, with a significant population at/below poverty level. They bring more joy to me than they know!
My Project
Beyond the classroom walls I am unable to ensure a secure environment for my little learners. However, once these precious minds walk through the front door I have the privilege of supporting each one with a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
The classroom environment plays such a vital role in motivating and encouraging high level thinking and development, and my students deserve a space that demonstrates they are valued!
The desired bookcases, outdoor discovery table, and brick building set will help lend to this mission by providing organization, extending learning to the outdoors( which is currently lacking), and encourage fun! I am hoping you can help support this request, and am sooo grateful for any and every contribution!
