My Project

Creating a comfortable and engaging classroom environment is essential for my student success, and the items I am requesting will help achieve that goal. Flexible seating will provide students with choices that support their learning styles, encouraging focus, collaboration, and movement to enhance engagement. A bright, inviting rug will serve as a welcoming space for group discussions, read-alouds, and interactive lessons, fostering a sense of community and comfort. We are a Leader in Me school, so we hold morning meeting on the carpet every day.

My goal for this project is to create a dynamic and organized learning environment where students feel inspired, comfortable, and ready to learn each day.

My students are truly special in every way. As a class in a Title I school, they come from a wide range of backgrounds, each bringing unique experiences and perspectives. Despite these differences, they come together as a supportive, uplifting community, always encouraging one another to grow and succeed. As a Leader in Me school, my students embody the 8 Habits daily, using them to stay on track, work collaboratively, and develop the skills they need for lifelong success.

This group of incredible learners are part of the generation that began their education on Zoom, spending their first two years of school in a virtual setting. While this has presented academic and social challenges, they are resilient, hardworking, and eager to grow. Every day, we focus not only on strengthening their academic skills but also on nurturing their social development, ensuring they have the confidence and leadership skills to thrive as future leaders.
