I am so honored to have the opportunity to work with such diverse, expressive, and passionate students every day. My class is a truly a family who uplifts each other and encourages each other to grow each and every day. We have every type of student in my class with a large majority ESL, EIP/RTI, and every one of them are creative and insightful thinkers that give it their all every day.
This is my 3rd year as an educator and I have taught 1st and 2nd-grade students.
I m grateful to work at a wonderful school that works together as a family. This year I had the privilege of teaching my students for 1st grade and now 2nd grade. I always focus on building strong positive relationships with my students and this experience has helped me strengthen those relationships. It amazes me the perseverance and character of my students. These are heavily emphasized in my class and my students never disappoint me! We learn through projects and work collaboratively to find innovative solutions. Inquiry and solutions focused are a big part of our class lessons.
My Project
I teach at an extremely high poverty, Title I school. I do not feel like lack of funds should affect my student's learning. We try to make the most out of everything we can get our hands on. My students love challenges and anything that involves high energy. They are a respectful, loving, charismatic group who deserve all that life has to offer them.
This donation will not only help to improve my teaching style and active engagement strategies but will also help my students to dig deeper into their learning.
Ron Clark is known across the country for his exciting and "different" techniques, used to grab students' attention! By attending his educators' training, I will be able to learn new methods that have been proven to work in the classroom! I want to learn how to engage my students more on a day to day basis I want to make EVERY lesson engaging and exciting. This is what Ron Clark is known for. I have read his books and I am always seeking for new ways to grab my students' attention. I know learning from Ron Clark, Kim Bearden, and the other master teachers will make my classroom a better place where all students can achieve at high levels.
This project will make a huge difference in my classroom.
I feel like by attending RCA's training, I will learn new methods that will help me implement the joy of PASSIONATE LEARNING. I feel like kids decide at a young age whether or not they are going to enjoy school or not and I want them to not only love learning but to see themselves as a future leader and world changer!
