My students need a supportive, engaging, age appropriate environment to learn about health science. Help me redesign the health lab to accommodate Prekindergarten students! We need two Textured Rubbing Plates a Sensory Sound Box, two Sensory Tubs and marbles and picture books.
I proudly teach a Pre-kindergarten through 8th grade health science lab. My students are curious, creative, thoughtful, polite, and much more.
Each week, for one hour a week, students in every grade level, travel from their rooms to the lab for health science class.
My students range in age from 3-14, are varied in energy level, interests and skills, attend an inclusive public elementary school, and are enthusiastic learners.
They love to be active, and are motivated by hands-on activities and experiments.
My Project
Prekindergarten students (ages 3 and 4) are now traveling to the Health science Lab! The lab has great tables and stools for older students, but they are a bit too big for Pre-k students.
I am requesting your help to purchase materials to transform the room into a safe, comfortable, and engaging Pre-k health science lab.
The materials selected will be used to purchase durable flooring (thick soft foam for sitting upon and moving), student sized tables (folding for easy storage), tent and travel tubes (movement and imagination), and a variety of interactive materials to support instruction on the senses and nutrition.
