My Students

Middle school can be one of the most trying times of a student's life. I have the unique opportunity to help middle schoolers learn and grow in a safe, nurturing environment which anyone knows can be a challenging endeavor.

Our fine arts integrated school consists of about 800 students ranging from sixth to eighth grades with a 50% free/reduced lunch rate.

Being a technology teacher, I try to integrate as much technology into lessons as much as possible. I love being able to merge computer science and other technology into core academic classes as well as fine arts classes. This helps our students experience many opportunities that they may not have otherwise. Because of this, we are able to take the resources that we are provided and make them into creative meaningful standards-based projects.

My Project

In the world of technology, if you are current on everything that is out there today, you will already be out of date tomorrow. Technology is constantly evolving and when it is paired with education, the opportunities that we can create for our students is endless.

Attending ISTE 2019 will give me the opportunity to see the newest and most innovated resources in EdTech today.

I would then be able to bring these resources back to my school and use them in our current practices. My students will benefit from having what is considered the most current and effective teaching tools at their disposal.
