Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students with special needs benefit from structured sensory breaks that help them manage emotions, reduce anxiety, and regain focus during the school day. Many of them struggle with sensory processing challenges that can impact their ability to learn, socialize, and stay calm in a busy classroom environment.
This project will provide essential sensory tools such as fidget toys, tactile objects, weighted lap pads, and visual timers to create a calming and supportive sensory break area.
These resources will help students self-regulate, build independence, and return to learning feeling refreshed and ready.
