Help me give my students the materials they will need to create a hands on genetic traits chart...and a little snack too!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are beginning to learn about the different variations of genetic traits seen in organisms.
What better way to do a hands-on demonstration of genetic variation, than with yummy Skittles.
They will see a colorful visual of how traits are passed on.
The Skittles, colorful paper will grasp their enthusiasm. The hands-on portion of the Skittles will scaffold the understanding of this important scientific concept. When my students know that we are doing anything hands-on in science, they are so excited and determined.
Please help make science a fun and hands-on class, where all my students can be successful and excited!
