We have students who need specific equipment to train for two Special Olympic track and field events. The javelins will be used to loan out to athletes so they have the opportunity to train outside of the one on one training they receive in the Adapted PE setting.
Softballs will be utilized to train and practice for the softball throw.
Student athletes need the opportunity to have access to specific equipment to train and practice with independence.
Track and Field Competitions will be held in April of 2025. Students spend quality time training and practicing for sanctioned events both in and out of the physical education setting. Students who excell in these categories may have the opportunity to compete at the state level in May of 2025. By providing additional training equipment, students will have increased opportunities to excel in competitive events with Special Olympics.
