This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am blessed with working with 19 Pre-K students ranging in age from 3-5 years. We are a Head Start program in Tukwila, Washington. Children come from low income families and very diverse nationalities. The students that are enrolled in my class are full of wonder, promise and love of learning.
My Project
The sensory viewers will help calm students down and they are great for exploration in the science area. I plan to use one in our calming corner and the other 3 in our science area.
The wooden train set will be a much needed addition to our block area so that students can use their imagination and their sense of wonder to create tracks and use the train to learn about traveling and various types of transportation.
This project would enhance preschool students play and creative ideas in several areas.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
