Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our district educates approximately 250 residential and day students in kindergarten through grade 12 who have emotional, behavioral, and learning problems. Most students reside here and live in cottages with an array of different staff members supporting them.
The computer lab is open to students in grades kindergarten through twelve.
Our classroom is designed to attract all ages and has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere of happiness to it when you enter. We try to keep a peaceful environment. Lessons are tailored to each student's ability and most often, one-on-one instruction is necessary.
My Project
We previously got an MMA instructor to do a 45 minute class lesson with my students remotely. We need the gear now to keep them safe at home as they practice and follow the instructional video from their home. They should be safe and have the appropriate gear to work with. MMA is a sport where if you do the wrong move you can hurt yourself or the person you may be sparring with. Our practice will be done with a bag and from home as the techniques and moves will be practiced with perfection!
