This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a passion for teaching kids how to read with fluency when they leave my first-grade classroom. One of the ways I can accomplish that is to have passages that are fun for scholars to read. The passages I am asking for will help me increase the reading skills of my scholars. My students come from hard-working families who struggle with finding time to read at home. so the passages will be used daily during our small group intervention time. The kids will use the passages to read, and I can track how many words they are reading per minute. I believe that pointers will also help the students track the words and stay on task. We can not wait to use all the amazing tools to become super readers.
