Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last year, we went to a self-paced classroom where students had the same goal (assessment) on the same day. By allowing students to work at their own pace, the teacher can work with those who struggle with the concepts, while those with an understanding can move forward.

A magnetic whiteboard with student tracking allows accountability of students to track their progress.

Not only does this give all students a common goal, but it also teaches executive functioning skills of meeting a deadline.

The goals remain the same: have a due date, learn to achieve the steps to reach the date, and not only learn the math, but master it. Students who continue to stay on track will be rewarded with fun prizes.
