Often times students struggle with making connections with chemistry and the world around them. By having students track the water quality of our local watershed, students will be able to act as real environmental chemist where they go out into the field, collect water samples, and track their data.
In this project students will become citizen scientists tracking local pollution in the Ogeechee watershed.
This data will then be submitted to the Ogeechee Waterkeepers and help them track local water quality data.
With your donation I will be able to purchase the LaMotte Water Pollution Kit which will give students the opportunity to track the following pollutants such as chlorine, pH, nitrate-nitrogen, phosphate, ammonia-nitrogen, dissolved oxygen, and temperature.
