My students need eight Light Boxes and five pads of drawing paper.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Hill's classroom raised $533

My Students
I do not have a class full of Rembrandt's or Picasso. But that does not mean I cannot treat them like they are. The "Master's" of the Renaissance had apprentices work under them, I treat my students as if they are working under the guidance of the masters.
"I'm the visual arts teacher at a Title I elementary school.
I currently teach visual arts to nearly 400 students in grades ranging from Head Start (two-year-olds) to 5th grade (twelve-year-olds). I have been teaching in the same school for the past eight years.
My Project
I'm asking for heavy weight drawing paper and light tables so that the students can trace masters work as they are discovering their own artistic talents. The light tables would be stationed throughout the classrooms so the students would be able to take turns on using the tables as they are working on their individual projects. The projects would vary from tracing masters work, to tracing letters in making posters and other graphic styles works
We look and study their work, their use of color and shape.
How they decide their choice of subjects. Their techniques on a whole. One of the most respected study tips for the Master's is to trace their work then make your own personal changes to make it uniquely yours. This has been done over the ages and I currently do so in my intermediate classes.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
