Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Thank you in advance for supporting the little minds I work with every day. I currently teach TK-1st grade. My class is 1 out of 3 Special Education classes at my Title I school. Therefore my students are (stuck!) with me for the first 3 years of their education, which I consider to be the most important. It is so important for me to teach and build the necessary foundational skills they need to succeed. Despite all the pandemic changes, my kiddos have all been attending class daily and look forward to coming to class every day. The current skill level my students are coming with is lower than any other year I have seen and I need all the support I can get. My kiddos are hands-on learners and require visuals and accommodations that I will be able to provide with your help. Thank you for helping me modify my classroom into the best environment for them.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers has printable resources available for all subjects and grade levels. I will be able to have access to independent materials to provide for my students after each lesson for any lesson. For example ELA- beginning sounds, Math: addition, subtracting, number recognition, Science: plant cycle, and even social studies: community helpers. Since, I have 3 different grade levels, being able to access worksheets for all levels will really help me target their individual needs. Independent worksheets also provide work samples that I can use to make assessments of their specific progress. I currently use TpT but usually download the free material. Having the funds will give me access to any material I may need, not just the free, and I will support other teachers in the process.
