Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Prior to COVID-19, I was lucky enough to spend my day teaching in a first-grade classroom. Now, I am lucky enough to spend my days online interacting and teaching my amazing students! I interact daily with 18 unique children who require varying levels of differentiation and modification to succeed. It has been a challenge to incorporate a variety of quality learning opportunities on Google Classroom.
School has officially closed for the remainder of the academic year but our students are still open-minded and ready to continue learning.
Although there are many barriers that can prevent a student from taking part in distance learning, such as their home/family life, mental health, disabilities, or technology issues, I am still giving it everything I’ve got. My scholars are truly an incredible group and I am so thankful to be their teacher.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers enables teachers across the globe to share their expertise and resources with each other. During this time of uncertainty, I am looking to my fellow teachers more than ever for guidance. Distance learning is new to me and while I have many quality resources to use in the classroom with my students, a lot of them aren’t digital. I would rather spend my time engaging and interacting with my students during distance learning than trying to build resources to use digitally. There are so many awesome teachers who have already created these items that I would love the funds to purchase, click ‘Go’, and start using!
Being a successful educator requires collaboration and sharing; two things that Teachers Pay Teachers stand for.
With this TPT gift card, I plan to purchase interactive, digital learning activities to provide the best learning experiences for my students during distance learning. These resources will especially benefit the students who need specifically tailored instruction to be successful. I want to make learning fun again! Distance learning has been very stressful on teachers and families, I am hoping these resources help take some of that stress away from both parties.
