Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Despite being in a pandemic, my students attend classes daily with a desire to learn. They bring with them a passion to tackle whatever the day has in store. They work hard to achieve their goals, while always maintaining a positive attitude. This group has been attending school during the COVID19 pandemic since kindergarten, so they appreciate every moment spent together in an actual classroom.
My students come from varying ethnic backgrounds, and have learned to embrace and celebrate diversity.
They are a diverse group that embodies the melting pot that our community is well known for. They are creative, 21st century learners at a STEAM school.
My Project
My students have become so versatile thanks to technology. School closures and virtual learning have made them extremely competent with using a variety of educational resources. I have so many learning modalities in my class that need to be met on a daily basis.
Having different types of resources help me push my students to reach their potential.
Obtaining a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card would give me access to a plethora of resources. It would allow me to nurture all of my students' talents- not only are there digital assignments, but also educational games, as well as thematic units for teachers to use.
