Our 3K class needs more toys that aid in learning in each of our learning centers. For example, we need a flannel board in the library center, flashlights in our discovery center, number cards for the math center, and a campground set for dramatic play when we learn about trees.
These supplies help target various skills, such as language development, fine motor, social-emotional, math, and problem-solving skills, in an engaging and hands-on manner.
We will also use these materials in small-group instruction to differentiate tasks based on students' diverse learning needs.
My class is comprised of several English Language Learners and a variety of students who need accommodations for learning. I believe these supplies and toys offer a wide range of strategies that accommodate the different learning styles of my students.
