This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

COVID-19, distance learning, and social distancing have really impacted my Speech student's growth and progress with their receptive and expressive language skills. They thrive when provided with motivating hands on activities that are directly connected to their preferred interests. One of their preferred interests is planting seeds! This project will support as well as enhance language lessons where students will name plant parts, describe plant colors textures and learn about categories. From there they will learn to use theme based vocabulary to form grammatically correct sentences about their garden experience.
