My students need to be able to explore the scientific world. The need sponges and inkpads to create, blocks and pipes to build and understand gravity, & SNOW to feel.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Lee's classroom raised $407

My Students
Can you imagine being four and going on an archaeological dig? That's what my students would love to do. They love to play in our sensory table and fill, pour, and empty.
The stampers would allow us to explore our fingerprints and compare them using the magnifying glasses in our room.
We are a public school in an urban setting.
My students don't have access to many materials at home. They are often amazed and surprised by what little items we do have in our classroom.
One of our weakest areas is science. This is such an important subject at this age. The freedom to explore and touch everything is mind blowing for them.
My Project
My students will be using these items to go on archaeological digs and search for dinosaurs. They will find buried treasure in the sand. They will, for the first time for most of them, feel what snow actually feels like and be able to play in the snow. Something most have never done and may likely never do again.
They will use sponges and ink pads to explore under a magnifying glass and see the similarities and differences between them.
They will be able to build with pipes and see which items roll out of them the fastest or the slowest and use the community helpers to retrieve those items.
You will touch the lives of 44 children through this one time donation and that is just this year.
Next year it will be a whole new group of 44 children that will be positively enriched simply by having these few items in our room.
We would love to play in the snow in January all while wearing our shorts.
