My students need a HP touchscreen monitor for our classroom computer.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Randall's classroom raised $436
This project is fully funded
Did you ever hear an adult say that their children know more about computers then they do? That's because they are exposed to technology much earlier in life. Our Early Childhood Special Education classroom is located in a high-poverty, inner-city neighborhood where school is just about the only place children have access to computers.
We love using the computer, but that sneaky mouse is just so hard to use! Our little hands, undeveloped hand-eye coordination, and fine-motor skill delays prevent us from efficiently using a traditional computer mouse. Our favorite game is Dr. Seuss' ABC's, but we just can't get the arrow to click on the right letter.
We need a HP touchscreen monitor so we can play our favorite computer games, like Bailey's Book House and Millie's Math House, without becoming so frustrated with the mouse.
Your donation will help close the achievement gap between preschoolers with special needs and their general education peers by opening up precious opportunities for learning through educational computer games. You will also help these students focus on what they CAN do instead of letting them continue to notice the areas in which they struggle.
