This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Going into Distance Learning was a hardship for my students. Many did not have the devices they needed to access the Google platform we were using to post assignments. Requesting and receiving a device from the city took a long time and then the second issue was many families didn’t have the WiFi they needed to access the internet.
My Project
With the uncertainty of the up and coming school year, I would like to have a laptop that I can write on to teach my lessons. The Google Platform has different extensions such as a whiteboard I would like to utilize for the “I Do” part of the lesson. And, having a touchscreen laptop would help with this part of my lesson. When we entered Distance Learning this year, my students that could not go on live to see me teach couldn’t see the “I Do” part of the lesson. With the touch screen laptop, they will get to see the procedure I am teaching, so they can apply it to what they are expected to learn.
